Opa! is the Greek explanation of joy for life.
Opanke
Leather dancing shoes, with each design unique to the many regions of the Balkans. In the U.S., we international dancers use the term in a generic manner, but recognize that there are there are many different designs, each named differently in different languages. My apologies if this definition offends - I'd be glad to update this definition...
Snopa
Snopa! is a derivative of Opa!, the Greek explanation of joy for life.
We borrowed the usage to express our joy for life and snow (?) in naming Snopa! International Folkdance Weekend.
