Friday: Let the Roar Begin!

5:30 pm Registration begins (building opens 4 pm) and potluck

For the potluck we will have access to a microwave and a refrigerator, but DO NOT otherwise have access to the kitchen. The microwave and sink are at the east (opposite from the kitchen) end of in the main dining room. We'll have paper plates and the like available.

Decorations and Setup in Gym continue.

8:00pm - ? Live Dance Party in Gym

Opening party will be Orkestar Bez Ime ("Orchestra Without a Name"). OBI brings professional musicianship and fun to your favorite folkdance standards. Comprised of Ethnic Dance Theatre (see EDT on the web) members and alums, OBI focuses on Balkan music, but ranges from Scandinavia to French Canada to Russia and beyond in their lively dance parties. The lineup includes: Colleen Bertsch (violin), Dee Langley (accordion), Katrina Mundinger (clarinet), and Tim Wahl (guitar, tambura, kaval, and vocals). Natalie will be missing.

Saturday: SATURDAY: Pearls from the Past

Dance, Dance, Dance: 8 teachers reviving 20 years of favorites! We’ll be dancing as one group this year, with each teacher presenting a favorite dance or two from a SNOPA! past.
